I got out yesterday on the Flats during a low to rising tide. I would say it does not look as robust as two years ago when the plants were at the surface for as far as you could see, but there was good coverage subsurface on my track. There was a good mix of Vallisneria, Heteranthera, Milfoil, and I found some Hydrilla. I was near center or west of center and there was pretty dense coverage throughout the depth range. When I hit real skinny water, there was patchy Val, but the deeper sections contained Val, Stargrass and Milfoil.
